| Académie
Desprez - Programme 2005 - 2006 - 2007 |
08/2006 |
Our
forecasts for the programme 2005-2006-2007 reflect at one and the same
time the past and present activities of Drottningholms
Slottsteater and of the Swedish Teatermuseum, but also the
Académie Desprez's aspirations.
We
choose to focus the work of the research group, Groupe de
Recherche, on two major trends which respond to each other and
mutually enrich.
The
"Drottningholm, yesterday" cycle goes on with works
lead about Monvel's personality. Thus, beside Gallodier and
Desprez, Monvel will complete the trilogy of French artists who
put a mark on the Swedish artistic life. These works will also
reflect the coming back of French drama in Drottningholm in
2005. An exhibition dedicated to Les
Artistes français et le Théâtre du Château de Drottningholm
should bring this work to a successful conclusion.
Aside
the achievement of this operation dedicated to the glorious past
of the Theatre, another federative project is brought up, more
orientated to the activities of "Drottningholm, today":
Les Métamorphoses de
l'opéra français. This
project first reflected and supplied perspective to the production of
Cahusac and Rameau's masterpiece programmed for 2005 and 2006: Zoroastre.
To make
this work possible and fruitful, the resources of the support
group, Groupe de Soutien, will be put to contribution. Within Le
Foyer, three
fields will be explored: communication, collection management
and edition.
To
contribute with a free and original complement to the influence
of Drottningholms Slottsteater and to support the activities of
the Swedish Teatermuseum are the missions of the Académie
Desprez.
